The Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge is an impressive and beautiful landmark that I truly appreciate every time I cross it. While I still miss the old Tappan Zee Bridge and the memories that came with it, this bridge has created its own special place over time. The views on both sides are absolutely stunning, offering incredible sights of the Hudson River and the surrounding landscape. Whether traveling during the day or at sunset, the scenery never gets old. At night, the colorful lights displayed along the bridge are especially striking and add a modern, vibrant touch that makes the crossing feel unique and memorable. It’s a bridge that blends history, progress, and beauty perfectly.

Great for a leisurely walk or a good cardio workout take your time or power walk the 3.6 mi span.
There are multiple Outlook stations with seating and viewing areas for those who just want to meander up and around.

Very gorgeous bridge. It adds 40+ miles to the drive to go up to Tarrytown and across this bridge way above NYC. The bridge is stylish, colorful (lights are pretty at night). It is clean and I didn't notice any signs of slowing traffic. That all being said, I did not take this bridge on purpose. I ended up on this bridge in a cross country trip west to East and east to west, when my maps on my phone diverted me off i78 to 278 when traveling east which added 40+ miles to the drive. And when traveling West, I was diverted off i95 to 278 near Port Chester. Both times I was traveling at slow times and saw little or no traffic lit on the mapping tool, so I was not aware I was being rerouted to cross the Hudson bridge much further north. It could be faster if there's traffic down inside the city. Coming east, I was traveling after late at night and believed I was headed east on i78 from PA to NJ. after 17 hours on the road, it felt exhausting to learn I added almost an hour to my drive and I had been rerouted far north to then be required to cross that bridge and come all the way back south to I95 on the east side of the Hudson.

Traffic is bad but bridge is nice looking and great condition. Pleasure to drive over until you hit the traffic on either side.
