Great outdoor music venue. Right on the Hudson River. Ferry service to and from Hudson. Courtesy docks. Great to enjoy from your boat. Fridays at 7pm all summer long. Great national and international acts. Go check it out.

A cool little park either a great view, nice flowers that are well-kept. It’s small, quiet, and pleasant. Not something I’d spend more than a few minutes in but it’s perfectly nice.

Athens is a charming looking town with a free day dock, making it convenient for boaters to stop by and enjoy the restaurants, bars, music, and bakery. Several coastal cruising boats pass by here every spring and fall migrating north and south. I will not encourage anyone to stop here, as every time we have visited, there's always been at least one person who makes it clear they do not want you there! Even though we have been given permission to stay overnight on this dock, we get harassed by some of the quasi-goverment people (spouse or friends of the mayor, for example). It is actually a hostile environment, in my opinion and experience. Several of our boater friends have been treated similarly. Remember, we are there to spend money in their community! We will not return or encourage others to stop there. Athens loses, sadly.

A wonderful place to relax and take in the beautiful scenery. The light house and quaint buildings just add to the beauty of this hidden gem!

Friday night Athens has music night. So far every Friday's been a really good music act. Rick does incredible job seeking up good talented groups to play in Athens and last night was a great night. Plus he was on stage performing so during the summer months. If you're in the the Coxsackie Athens Catskill Leeds, even Hudson area, come join them for a Friday night music in the park.
