Saugerties Lighthouse is a wonderful place to visit, especially at sunrise. The short walk along the scenic boardwalk is peaceful, easy, and offers beautiful views of the Hudson River. The early morning light creates a stunning atmosphere, making it a fantastic spot for photography or simply enjoying the quiet surroundings.

There is a portable toilet in the parking lot, which is a nice convenience before starting the walk. The trail is well maintained, and the lighthouse is a beautiful destination with plenty of spots to stop and enjoy the scenery. If you’re looking for a relaxing walk with incredible views, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

Did not stay at the lighthouse but my daughter took me on the trail for mother's day 2026 and its beautiful. We sit right near the lighthouse as it is closed for weekends but a wonderful walk and you see river all around. Wonderful cant wait to visit again.

The walk to the lighthouse about 1/2 mile on wooded trail with the river ice making its movements and sound was nice.
Going up top in the lighthouse big light room give you a great view of the river and surrounding area.
Seeing the couple of bald eagles hanging out together is always exciting!
Hearing the train across the river go by a few times gives a nice atmosphere.
The two rooms are so very peaceful and relaxing.
Breakfast by the lighthouse keeper is fantastic too.

The walk to the lighthouse is 1/2 mile, with beautiful scenery. It's a mix of nature trail, beach, and wooden pathways/bridges. The lighthouse and scenery surrounding was worth the walk.

The lighthouse is always a great place to visit in Saugerties not only for the views but for walk out to and back. Especially on a warm spring day.
