I visited Dia Beacon for the first time, and it was really intriguing. I mainly went to see the Richard Serra pieces—they were fantastic and exactly what I hoped for. Upstairs, I also discovered Louise Bourgeois’s sculptures, which were very interesting. The large spaces gave everything a unique feel, and I even enjoyed their bookstore. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely go back!

Absolutely wonderful! The venue is incredibly and the art is one of a kind. Make sure to ask gallery workers where everything is located. A few galleries are harder to find.

We were in the area visiting children and grandsons. I had read about DIA Beacon in the NY Times and decided to visit. It is an Nabisco box-printing facility so it is very large and spacious. An unusual presentation of art and large sculptures.

Such great gallery guides. We also went on a curator led tour which was so informative. The museum is all about conceptual art. If you are seeking a museum with paintings in the wall, this would not be it! Spectacular industrial space with all the conceptual art greats.... Of today and yesterday.

It’s a decent museum. The admission fee is reasonable, and it’s a good way to spend some time while in Beacon. I wasn’t particularly impressed by the art on display; it was fine, but not memorable. There’s also a small gift shop and a cafeteria. Overall, I’d recommend stopping by, but I wouldn’t plan an entire day around it.
