Æsthetically pleasing and well-maintained, but the parking could be better. If anything, better signage directing motorists to where to wait and egress would be helpful. Conveniently located in Tarrytown, nearby Sleepy Hollow.

The station is gorgeous on a rainy day! Restaurants not far from here. McDonald's half a mile up the road with Dunkin Donuts. And further out east are other upscale restaurants in Tarrytown...

Generally a reasonable station to use.
One warning if you're not a permit holder: they recently updated their parking policy so that free parking no longer applies throughout the entire weekend. "Unrestricted free parking" is now only midnight to 6 am Monday through Saturday, and only Sundays/Holidays are completely free. You could previously park for free all day on Saturdays & Sundays. Now you'll get a ticket if you don't pay for Saturday parking. I'm not sure exactly when this change was made (sometime between September 2024 and February 2025). Police patrol the lots every couple of hours at least.
There hasn't been a price increase in a while. Metered parking is $1.75/hour up to $14/day (this has been in place since at least February 2020).

The cleanest friendliest most civilized train station I have ever come across.
The bathrooms are immaculate! The cafe is cozy with beautiful lighting that harkens back to train travels in decades past. Yet they also have delicious food offerings that range from sweet cupcakes to healthy salads and lots in between. Using a solid italian espresso machine (La Marzocco) and locally roasted coffee beans - roasted just up on Main Street (coffee labs), the experience was above and beyond!
I had a question about the area and even before purchasing anything the folks were warm and informative.
Fantastic experience 💜💜

Was using a charger, stopped at Rivermarket for a quick bite & drink then checked out the waterfront
