The kayak store was closed. There is a building permit on the window, not sure what is going on. We have our own kayaks, so no big deal. Portable toilet was locked & launch platform was covered in geese poop. But once in the water, it was a beautiful paddle. We chose to go up the creek, instead of towards the Hudson. We launched at high tide, so no worries about creek being too shallow.

Perfect place to train on a paddleboard, as it is in a cove, and the water is about waist high near the launch. The launch is public use. The water is muddy due to the shallowness, and there are no washing facilities, but if you are fine with taking your board home and washing, then it is a fine place to train! Parking is public and I usually go after the paddlesport center is closed and paddle undisturbed.
It is also connected to the Hudson River if you venture out a bit further.

Nice little roadside, stop nice view even at a taco truck there.

Quiet and clean... can’t ask for more. The dock looks like it’s been recently renovated too.
