Calling this a park when only the launch itself seems to be looked after, is a bit of a stretch. While the warning signs regarding the pesticides with which the water has been treated only suggest restrictions on human consumption and exposure, dog owners have so many alternatives in this immediate area that it doesn't really make sense to choose this location for walks. There is only a little clear land that isn't paved, and the paved area has no marking designating spaces or lanes. Caters primary to vehicles (land and water). Humans remaining on foot, both with and without pets, might want to choose somewhere else.

Great part to launch your boat and to do a little fishing the upgrades that it needs would be a garbage can or two and a porta potty

The ramp and docks are good. The lot needs some rehab. Lots of potholes. Murderers Creek could be dug out a bit from the launch to the river. I have seen many folks run into trouble on low tide if theres multiple boats/craft to maneuver around.

The Athens NY boat launch offers a surprisingly serene and convenient gateway to the beautiful Hudson River.

There are some picnic tables placed to have a good break. Not much here to look at. Handicap ramp for boaters to load and unload. Place hasn't changed much in over 30+years.
