Nice place to put your kayak in the mouth of the Rondout Creek. Lighthouse is nearby as well as the Kingston dog park.

This is a quiet little area with a boat ramp and a canoe launch. There's a couple of picnic tables overlooking the Roundout creek. If you look left you can see downtown Kingston. If you hangout long enough you may just get to see a trolly pass on the other side of the creek.
There is a small trail into the woods. I'm not sure how long it is or where it goes, I'll find out on my next trip there.

The only thing I know about this park is that it's a hub for boaters to launch their small and medium crafts into Rondout Creek which delivers them to the mighty Hudson River-about 3/4 mi east. The river is visible to the south side of the park along with a wide variety of water fowl, including herons, seagulls, eagles, hawks, ducks, geese, swans, quail, etc.

Easy access to the river for kayaks and small boats, you have to drive on a dirt road to the ramp, DO NOT bring anything over 20 feet there is a sign posted there and you will have a hard time if you do.
