A historical light house with very scenic views, especially at sunset. Tiny sandy area to park for only a handful of vehicles, at the end of a long rough road.

Beautiful, historic light house on Delaware Bay. Currently closed but you can walk around it.

Beautiful day for a visit to a beautiful lighthouse. The property was well maintained and the lighthouse looked like it was in very good condition. Definitely a must for lighthouse lovers!

This lighthouse is located a little off the beaten path in the best possible way! It’s a peaceful drive and a beautiful setting. Self guided tours are affordable for families, or couples who want to escape the busy crowds of nearby Cape May but still want to go on a little adventure. It’s a well maintained historical building and the volunteers / locals work hard to preserve and share it. We even had the opportunity to venture all the way to the top! Who knows how long this lighthouse will still be around because of beach erosion, if you have a little extra time on your hands I encourage you to go and check it out for yourself - before the Delaware Bay swallows it whole!!!

Summer is the best time for roadtrips - and we’re exploring lighthouses! This is a beautifully restored one — the second oldest! There’s a gift shop right outside, and tickets to tour are $6 - well worth it. The lighthouse is beautiful, and it’s great for kids, as you can touch everything inside. They have games set up, and books detailing the restoration. Nancy, her husband Carl and everyone else at the site, were amazing in sharing their knowledge, history and talents! Nancy’s beautiful paintings are displayed throughout - she was even kind enough to autograph the coloring book in which some of her drawings are featured.
We loved our visit. The site is accessible ♿️ with a ramp leading up to the first floor. Reaching the second floor and the light requires climbing stairs. On our next visit we’ll bring bug spray - as there are lots of flies outside 🙃
