There is a small museum at the entrance; you should definitely visit it. You can also go up the tower. The story of the tower, the materials used, and the tales of the tower keepers are truly fascinating. You get to learn about the lighting system down to the finest detail. We really enjoyed it

A fun and educational opportunity at the Jersey shore. It's a short drive from the end of the Garden State Parkway. There is a large free parking lot. The Visitor's enture and Nature Museum are free There is a charge to climb the lighthouse stairs. There are nature trails throughout the state park and plenty observation points to watch birds. Don't miss this southern Jersey jewelleries when visiting the area.

Went on one of the coldest days in February. The bay was frozen with angry wind and blowing sea foam. It was beautiful and exhilarating. Loved it. We went to the diamond beach, sunset beach, lighthouse and the Lobster House restaurant. We self toured the Victorian homes. Beautiful.
