Loved it a lot and it was cool to be at this beach, only problem is that it is a bit dirty and the sand is a bit deep, and likely find horseshoe crab shells or live ones witch by son found two live ones and a couple of shells. Amazing to be in this beach at the end of July.

Kayaked from dover to here. Boston ramp was clear and accessible. Lots of parking walking distance to the beach.

I love Bowers but I'm local... Very nice ramps to launch from. Lots of trailer parking. Once they finish dredging the channel we should be able to get in and out of the bay again at low tides without any issues. Good fishing from the rock sea wall if you don't have a boat. Great place for fishing! The bait shop is only open weekends though so maybe bring your own bait.

If you are looking for a day at the beach.... Go someplace else! Not a beach for swimming. Biting flies can be fierce on the beach front late summer so not a good place to tan either. No shops or stuff for the kiddies.... Seriously go somewhere else.

Had a great time here the first time, brought family for sand playing and swimming w/toddler. It was nice when we came because there was a long stint of shallow water perfect for toddlers to play in without worry, no strong waves in any way either BUT, even though we enjoyed it we noticed lots of sludge and murkiness, some spots you can't see and there's big rocks/coral clumps to watch out for. Then we came the next weekend and it was a different tide that seemed higher but there was even more sludge in the water instead of sand, wasn't shallow at this time in any area, and the bugs made the trip AWFUL. after the last trip I seriously think someone needs to do some work to this beach. It's infested with sand fleas or the like from what I looked up. And they hurt worse than the mosquitoes that you'd expect in the evening. So find the right time if you're going to come regardless, the early afternoon was shallow and peaceful, evening was terrible. Either way, beach needs serious cleaning. But very secluded and super friendly people around, if you don't plan on getting wet, you may have a better time.
