I’ve been visiting Bartram Gardens for several years now, and it has become a sanctuary for me—a place where I can unwind, get some exercise, and clear my mind from the relentless hustle and bustle of city life. This remarkable destination serves the community not just by providing jobs, but also by fostering community involvement through classes and workshops. It’s an outstanding venue to connect with nature and truly appreciate its workings, as well as an ideal gathering spot for family celebrations.

In some of the pictures, you'll notice preparations for a wedding taking place. The facilities here are exceptional, boasting a catering venue and beautifully walkable flower gardens, alongside an extensive trail stretching several miles from end to end. Beyond the images I've captured, there’s a thriving community garden that I plan to photograph in the future. This is truly a wonderful place to bring family and friends.

Surprisingly calm place (so close to Philadelphia) to go kayaking for free on Saturdays. All you have to do to row or kayak is quickly sign a waiver and take a second to talk about safety. The people that work there are volunteers, and they always seem nice! Get there early so you dont have to stand in a line to sign the waiver!

Great chance for free fun in the city. You are allowed to rent a kayak for about 45 minutes free of charge

My new favorite place. A beautiful escape from the city yet still in the city. They offer times to go out in a rowboat or kayak, fishing, and a number of fun events.
