Way better than I thought it was going to be. We usually go to Lake Como in Smyrna but for some reason there was dog,cat or human poo everywhere. So I searched for another place and found this. Definitely our new swimming hole. My Children are ages 18 to 6 and we all had a blast. I seen others who had smaller children also and they looked they they were having a great time Also.

Perfect little spot to bring a chair, sit by the water and chill for an hour or so. Can walk a little and pick up pretty treasures. Plenty of parking and porto potties. Super enjoyable drive on rte 9 with pretty water views especially by bridge. Big contrasts with industrial areas too.

Definitely could be 5 stars if the plant wasn't in view/close
Brackish waster and honestly cleaner than Atlantic city. The glass ppl leave is a problem too. But I enjoy fishing and swimming there. Two beach areas. 1 small one larger. Parking is close and it's usually not crowded.
I know a better hidden beach spot but sorry I can't share...unless u read all my reviews then u will likely find it

Small beach next to boat launch and fishing access. Beautiful view of Delaware Bay/River as well as New Jersey across the way. If you’re looking for a beach day, this isn’t it imho. It was a nice spot to get some fresh air after the cold weather, but nothing more. Definitely not a destination to swim…just briefly explored with the doggo. Plenty of parking!

Warm, calm water with sand where we swam (large beach- there are two beach areas, if the small one is mobbed there is a larger area past the boat ramp). I saw people playing music, using umbrellas and canopies and kids with floaties. A couple guys caught large fish by fishing from the rock jetty, you can also fish from the large beach. There is a sandy walking trail off the small beach we enjoyed. Porta potties were open and clean. Kids loved it, didn't want to leave! Not a beach for shell collecting.
