Between parking and tickets to see the battleship, it'll be easily fifty dollars for 1 person. Better have good knees as there are so many stairs to go up-and-down, not only the stairs, but the bull heads can ruin your day really quickly. Anyone over 5 foot 8 should wear a hard hat. Great history. But pretty hard on the sweltering day. I had a great time, but like I said, parking's a con. And most the tour lines are just repeating and you're going up-and-down stairs. Over bulkheads.

I had an amazing experience touring the USS New Jersey. This is an incredible piece of maritime history that was in commission from 1942 to 1991 and is America’s most decorated battleship. Almost all the ship is accessible to the public including the turrets, bunks, captains quarters, mechanical rooms, public spaces, and museum rooms. There are so many nooks and crannies to explore with organized trails that take you throughout the ship. It’s like a floating town on the water. One can really spend hours on the ship and learn so much. I highly recommend a visit to this amazing battleship.

Another must see spot while visiting! Really expected your standard military museum with boring exhibits and was blown away! Walking around the ship was incredibly engaging and informative. All ages found parts they liked! Biggest issue was thinking we'd see everything we wanted to see in 3 hours. Will definitely budget more time for the next visit.

Worth the time & money!
You have access to everything you could reasonably want to see including crew's quarters, officer's quarters, chapel, mess hall, post office, medical rooms, tool storage, the engine room, inside turrets, everything from top to bottom really.
You WILL be climbing up and down a lot of ladders. Backpacks are not permitted (there are lockers at the ticket counter if needed) as well as restrooms by the outside gift shop.
There is something for everyone here. I love history and psychology so I was imagining what it was like for soldiers as they arrive and then did their daily work in peace or wartime. My husband was interested in the mechanical and engineering aspects.

Very interesting to tour. Location is on the Delaware River Jersey side. Very beautiful view of Benjamin Franklin Bridge and the city of Philadelphia. Very appropriately priced as we chose the City Pass travel package. A self guided tour and very much worth visiting. Thank You servicemen and servicewomen!
