This place is such an underrated gem as so much history has happened here from revolutionary times to the 1950s. Many sites with this kind of History don't give the public the kind of access to experiencing the site as this one does. Not to mention it's ability to educate us on its role in the Delaware River campaign of 1777 is something every person in the greater Philadelphia area should know.

I visited Fort Mifflin with 3 children and they liked running around as the weather was nice. It is a great place of American history which deserves better financial support to keep up with restoration work and the maintenance of existing infrastructure. Very affordable and would visit it again! Great place to watch airplanes as it next to Philadelphia International Airport.

Excellent historical forts constructed in the 1770s. The fort is an outstanding example of construction during this period. Google Maps will get you to the fort. The basic price is $16.00 but are discounts available.

It is one of the last remaining Revolutionary War sites remaining with still intact original structures. If you love history then this is a must visit. It is a mud fort and can be very wet in some places, so wear the right shoes. Some say its extremely haunted. I did catch the strong smell of a wood fire in one of the buildings, but it could just be the smoke smell trapped in the old building. Definitely do recommend!

Great historical place, little rundown but that happens when You are non-profit. We had fun!
