A little gem of history that is hidden by an airport. Ft. Mifflin was the longest standing fort in US history. Today it is in the process of being preserved, however in its current state older fortifications from the revolutionary war are visible. Our tour guides arrived in 19th century attire and gave a very informative tour spanning subjects from the revolution to the 1950's. They also have ghost tours and some compelling evidence of haunting.

This is an incredibly cool historic venue in need of a lot of restoration. Hopefully City of Phila. will realize that it's almost as important as Independence Hall and allocate some funding.
As a Renaissance Faire location, it rocks! Only Faire in the US with a genuine moat!

Great historical place, little rundown but that happens when You are non-profit. We had fun!

This place is such an underrated gem as so much history has happened here from revolutionary times to the 1950s. Many sites with this kind of History don't give the public the kind of access to experiencing the site as this one does. Not to mention it's ability to educate us on its role in the Delaware River campaign of 1777 is something every person in the greater Philadelphia area should know.

Our grandchild had a great visit. The site is authentically run down, since construction started 1775 or so. It's a bit expensive but the family enjoyed it. The site is hard by the Philadelphia Airport.
