I love this place !!! It’s a great place to come and bring the kids to hang out play have fun watch the boats or jet skis go by ... or watch the other people fishing or just relax and eat lunch here .. kids love it here they run around check things out ...I just wish they stayed opened all year long don’t matter if it’s cold it’s a place where you can just relax watch the river or the sunsets or just have a nice lunch with a great view ... can’t wait till it opens again hopefully soon ...I just wish they would post the time of the year when they are closing or opening not just come here thinking it’s open and got plans to come here and it’s closed the only thing i don’t like ...but great place 👍

First time here, plenty of parking. Porta potty on site. Grass in the back so your kids can relax.

We launched a 21ft sailboat and retrieved it 6 hours later after visiting Tall Ships in Philly. There was debris on the two ramps at the high tide line from a storm the day before. Bigger obstacles were easily cleared. When we returned there were dozens of kids using the floating dock as a swim platform, which was unsafe, but everyone cooperated.
There is a large lot for trailer parking nearby, but it cannot be reached with a mast up. There is a smaller parking lot upstream that can be reached with a mast up, but returning to the ramp violates a one-way ordinance. It was not busy in the morning so we set up at the ramp. Ramp use and parking are free, but there's a gate so check hours. Porta-potties only.
Currents in the channel run +/- 2 knots depending on tide. Stormwater can add a downstream bias. Large ships and barges can pass, but traffic is light. Heading toward Philly requires masts under 59ft at high tide to clear the railway bridge, else a raising will be required.

Usually quiet and a great place to walk and train dogs without too many distractions.
