My grandson and I love to go on fun adventures through nature. This is a perfect spot to explore with your littles. With lots of rocks, shells, and a beach-like vibe, my grandson absolutely loves it!

We moved to Riverside, NJ in March, 2024. Soon after I began exploring our neighborhood with my son. Amico Island is a wonderful place to get into nature with your little one (or anyone)! There are benches every so often if you tire easily. Picnic tables scattered about if you’d like to pack a lunch. You’ll see some interesting wildlife as well, from turtles to herons! This area is well maintained too. So please take out whatever trash you may carry in. Enjoy this lovely hiking trail on the Delaware in Riverside!

Beautiful, quiet, amazing views of both nature and the city. You can get up close to the river and lake. Definitely worth visiting by yourself or with others!!

It’s worth a hike here. On your hike, you will see several outlooks by the riversides: you can see the confluences of the Delaware River and the Rancocas Creek, the skyline of Philadelphia, the views of harbors, as well as deer families, wild birds...Some area of the trail could be muddy, so better wear a pair of waterproof shoes to avoid getting feet wet.
It’s about a 2-mile trail around the island. They are marked at Red, Blue, Yellow or Black. But you won’t get lost anyways since it’s only an island. If you detour all the trails, you may make it a longer hike.
