My daughter (3.5 years old) and I spend at least 1 lunchtime per week here. We usually eat at the rear picnic area of the park just because there's a real (with actual plumbing and flushing toilets) restroom on the back side, up front (Rt 130 entrance) there's only a porta-style, and we then walk the path until we find ourselves in the hiking path leading to the lake. We easily spend 2 to 3 hours walking around, enjoying the shade, animals, other walkers, all the nature of being in the woods. It's a fantastic place to get 'lost' for a while and spend some quality time either with a child, family member, friend or just by yourself.

I like the way this off-road hiling path is played out. Bring tick repellent. I had three on me coming out of there. Anything not in the forest is long grass as far as trails go. There are not a lot of markers for trails and easy to get turned around, but it's a good tract for off-road running.

Legit loved it. Now I really hope I don't sound like an idiot but I played it off the whole time like it was camp crystal lake & JASON was coming for yyyooouuuiuu 👻

The lake itself is lovely, and there are plenty of spots to sit, relax, or even have a small picnic. We saw ducks by the water and kids playing happily — it’s perfect for families or even just a solo walk to clear your mind.

Beautiful park! Well maintained trails with a variety of terrains and scenery. Walk the trails around the fields or go through the woods up, down and around some dirt paths. Pet friendly and a clean lake.

Definitely wear sturdy shoes when visiting. Some of the hills are a little steep (and rocky) and there's lots of mud if it recently rained .
