It's a one and done kind of state park. The roads in and out have more craters than the moon. The trails are a bit overgrown with many low hanging branches. Multiple trails were completely obstructed by fallen trees.

The whole park had this unpleasant smell. It smelled like sewage. Gross.

Disappointed by the lack of maintainance on the aging park facilities and (?) amenities. No Rangers on-hand. Lots of people driving around in state maintainance trucks, but no effort.

I am a local, very familiar with the park and the lack of funding and concern by the state @NJDEP. It seems the state has washed its hands of WCSP. As a local, I'm embarrassed, mortified by the once-great park of my childhood.
There is a yet-to-open interactive visitor center which is exciting.
While the Pennsy side of the Delaware, the park (a national park) is glowing with renovations, the Jersey side is fading away.

Beautiful grounds, however, we went on Monday, May 25th, Memorial Day, and we were limited, very limited on what we got to see since most areas were closed due to reconstruction projects.

Washington Crossing State Park is a really nice park. It has a playground area with two big playgrounds, and a lot of pic ic tables and grills available. There are some nice walking trails through the woods. Its the perfect place to have a picnic, go for a jog, take a bike ride, or just enjoy nature. There is a nature center on the grounds, as well as a theater. Bathrooms are available near the playground. Overall a wonderful park, and I can't wait to go back.

Washington Crossing Park is a must-visit, steeped in history and natural beauty. Make it a habit to visit with your family and enjoy the lush greenery, scenic walking trails along the lake, and the iconic metal bridge. The park's serene atmosphere is sure to leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed – a perfect way to spend quality time together!
