An absolute blast to fish here, unfortunately there arent to many places to bank fish from. But the view is beautiful, especially early morning. The Osprey flying above, the sounds of nature really fill your ears here.

I really enjoyed this pond. It was hard to find cause it’s not visible from the road but I thought it was peaceful and everyone was friendly!

Beautiful place with gorgeous views. Picnic tables and grills nearby to the lake that’s perfect for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. Plenty of wildlife including many turtles. Fair amount of parking and typically not too busy. A hidden gem!

Giving Pond Recreation Area is one of those spots you might drive past without realizing how much it has to offer. It’s tucked away near the Delaware River and feels like a quiet escape from the busier parks in the region. The centerpiece is the large pond, which is great for kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding—no gas-powered boats are allowed, so it stays calm and relaxing.

The walking trails are easy and scenic, with some that connect down toward the river. It’s also a nice spot for bird-watching; you’ll often see herons, egrets, and plenty of songbirds. Fishing is decent here too, though depending on the season, you may need to move around the shoreline to find good spots.

A couple of things to know: parking is limited, and the area doesn’t have a lot of facilities (no big restrooms or concessions), so plan ahead and bring what you need. The trails aren’t heavily marked, so a GPS map can help if you want to explore further.

Overall, Giving Pond is a beautiful, low-key place to spend a few hours on the water or just enjoy some quiet time in nature. If you like less cro

Great place to chillex.

It is a nice place for hiking, birding, picnicking and fishing. Non-motorized boats allowed, but no swimming!

There is a ton of nature including deer, fox, and assortment of songbirds and waterfowl even a few bald eagles.

Weekends can be problematic because of the limited parking and tickets will be issued if you dont park in a designated parking area.

Port-o-potty is available.
