The ramp is very, very shallow with strong currents. All boaters and PWCs should maintain a high level of caution. You should have a more advanced knowledge of boating for this river. You must know the channel, or you will hit submerged rocks or run aground. I would strongly advise not to kayak in this particular area due to the strong currents. The higher the water level, the stronger the current.

Excellent ramp that provides 40 or so parking spaces and half dozen clean portojohns . I can't think of a boat ramp south with adequate parking before yardley . upper black eddy has a handful of parking spaces and fails to provide portojohns which is in cross purposes of health , water quality and accommodation of those that paid to use the ramps

Signs there clearly state NO SWIMMING,NO TUBING,yet the public doesn't adhere to their rules there! Needs to have buoys, and a no wake zone near the launch!

Would be 5 stars if there was a easier place to stage your boat in the water , the launch is definitely 5 stars , pull straight down and back in the water doesn't get easier than that

Real tough ramp yo launch at boat at once the river pool lowers. During spring it's fine but summer can be tricky.
