Sweet! What a lovely and relaxing Xmas retreat!
Wonderful staff, including those who serve there as volunteers; people who attended were also very warm n welcoming.
Learned a lot about Norwegian sweaters and traditions.
Ate some Norwegian food as well; loved the food - everything was tasty.
Both the concerts were fabulous.
The Xmas market was amazing. Snack n food store was good too - they have some Norwegian items there that are worth trying out!
Room was great, no complaints at all.
Everything was very well organized
I will certainly be back for many, many more!

Memorial Day weekend 2025. Bunked in Dogwood Cottage with a friend for a Christian retreat, boy was choosing that cottage a mistake. First thing i did was check the bed for bedbugs, as i turned over the quilt, it had yellow stains on it and it had a visible rip with cotton coming out. It was gross. The rug in the cabin is also stained and in desperate need of shampooing better yet a new rug altogether. The bathroom tub had a stain that looked like a doodoo stain but was a rust stain from the water constantly dripping (i was not taking a shower in that). They had an iron but no iron board. The mattress was worn and caved in. The air conditioner/heat was dusty and had a weird smell coming from it when powered on. I was so disappointed about the cottage stay and seriously regretted choosing Dogwood cottages. I could not sleep comfortably at night. Another friend was staying at the Hillside manor which was 10 times better. Tuscarora really needs to renovate their cottages and care a little more.
On the plus side, the outdoors was absolutely beautiful. The lawn is kept very well. There is a long stretch of river along the side of the Inn with a decent amount of benches to sit and gaze. Lots of beautiful trees and greenery. They have activities such as ax-throwing, boating, kayaking, which was fun to do. They have an outdoor pool and volleyball area complete with sand. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Breakfast is the best with plenty of eggs bacon, potatoes, cereal, yogurts, fruits and more. Coffee is always available. Lunch and dinner was, eh, okay. Those dogwood cottages need a complete renovation and ruined our stay otherwise I would have given this place 5 stars. There are deers that roam around freely eating from trees and you can walk right up to them and there are beavers you will occasionally see run across the grass that live under the cottages which gives the feeling of oneness with nature. Really sweet, but the cottages were disgusting.

A home away from home, truly. Started with a concert in 2022 and turned into multiple retreats per year. I can’t give this place enough stars.
The services are incredible, the food is great, the prices are fantastic, you MORE than get what you pay for here. My 11 year old came back from junior week on FIRE for Christ. What an incredibly blessed experience. Counting down the days until we’re back.

We hold our yearly staff retreat at Tuscarora and they always do a great job. Their staff are very accommodating and have put together great activities for us, including a version of Chopped. There is always way more food than we are able to eat and their team works with us on every meal request and activity we are planning, even the more challenging or unusual ones. Beside the water, it is a beautiful spot, and very peaceful.
It is a camp facility, so you need realistic expectations, (camp facilities will never be the Hilton) but it is done very well for a camp facility, and they are in the process of updating the oldest spaces.
Overall, great experience! Will be going back again.

Came here for a retreat and we greatly enjoyed our stay. The scenic view of the Delaware river is lovely and the center offers fun water activities like tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. Other activities included were tennis, pickleball, racket ball, and hiking.
The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was courteous and very helpful. The food was delicious and was served directly to our table, family style. Breakfast consisted of eggs, potatoes, bacon, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, coffee, and orange juice. We had French toast and sausage the next day. For lunch, we had pasta with garlic bread on one day and chicken, rice, green beans and gravy on another day. Dinner was roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, and salad. Apple pie and custard tarts were for dessert!
There is ample parking further down the center. The main office is the first building on your right as you come in. There are many rooms available for conferences but be sure to book ahead as it fills up quickly. Lastly, there is a bonfire for fun group gatherings!
