I have been vacationing at Indian Head canoes for over the last two decades. It never disappoints in terms of proximity to the river and friendly customer service. The rooms are just what you need them to be for an authentic camping experience. It’s always nice to have the office close by for souvenirs, questions and information about the area. I look forward to returning again with my family!

We try to go at least once a year. We rent the bunk houses and always have a great time. This year we had 23 of us on the river. Absolutely perfect day. If you have a large group and need space to hangout and have fun, this is the place.

My dog and I stayed in a cabin, which was great - roomy and clean with creature comforts of a shower, kitchen, and cable tv! The office also had supplies, snacks, and coffee for purchase, and spotty but decent wifi around the office in an otherwise dead zone region. We did a river trip, which was really fun, and we spent one night in the cabin. My advice for dog owners: know your dog. My dog is used to lakes but rapids were a new challenge and I had to hold her down so she wouldn't keep falling out. We had a great time, but be sure you can handle your dog while you're both being tossed around a bit. My advice for guests staying overnight: pick the time of year carefully. I chose a few days before July 4th thinking there wouldn't be fireworks, but there were, and my dog was too freaked out so we couldn't stay the second night we had planned. I don't blame Indian Head - there are several campgrounds in the area and you're not going to be able to control all noise. The owner was kind and sympathetic and graciously gave me a credit so I can return another time. I was not expecting that at all, and I thought it showed that they are willing to go above and beyond for their customers.

We had an amazing time on our 9 mile rafting trip with 6 ppl. We got 2 rafts cause it was more spacious. Beautiful views! Perfect weather! Exceptional service!!! We can’t wait to go again!!

Great place to camp and raft. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The other guests were very polite about quiet hours. Highly recommend
