We recently had the most amazing camping experience at a serene and picturesque campground nestled in the heart of the forest. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the peaceful sounds of rustling leaves and chirping birds, instantly feeling embraced by nature's tranquility. The campground's facilities were impeccable, with clean restrooms, showers, and convenient dishwashing stations that made outdoor living a breeze.

What elevated our experience even more was the warm hospitality extended to us by Kevin and his family, who manage the campground with passion and dedication. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests set the stage for a truly memorable stay. When our camp neighbor's car battery unexpectedly died, Kevin sprang into action, offering a helping hand and his expertise to get their vehicle back up and running. It was heartwarming to witness such kindness and support in the midst of nature's embrace.

One of the highlights of our stay was the abundance of wildlife that calls the campground home. We were greeted by curious deer that came right up to our campsite, and the songs of nearby owls serenaded us to sleep each night. Exploring the surrounding trails offered us glimpses of elusive foxes and playful squirrels, reminding us of the beauty and diversity of the natural world.

As we sat around the crackling campfire under a starlit sky, we reflected on the unforgettable moments we had experienced during our time at this campground. The sense of peace, connection to nature, and the kindness of the hosts and fellow campers left an indelible mark on our hearts. This was not just a camping trip; it was a soul-nourishing retreat that will forever hold a special place in our memories.

This place will definitely go down as one of our favorite car camping sites to go to! Best location, great view and right next to the water!

Our experience here were the best! Many thanks to Kevin, Josh and Ann for providing us a great experience! This spot is very family friendly and a great place to go swimming as well as fishing at the Delaware River.

Ascalona Campground made sure the porta potties were always cleaned, there is a shower room to rinse and outdoor sinks to wash dishes. There's currently no store at site at the moment but the owners were planning to add this later on. You can buy firewood and ice from them in the mean time.

You can also schedule activities such as rafting and kayaking from them!

Our only complain is not at the place but at the other visitors, they were very inconsiderate at the other campers by playing loud music around 1am-4am. They even had the nerve to use a microphone to wake up their companions the following early morning without no regard at the other campers at site. Please don't be like these people.

Clean, beautiful, best camping spot. Riverfront, you are treated like family - the people who take care of the grounds are so helpful and make sure everything you need is taken care of! Highly recommend!!!!
