As someone who was previously interested in the LPN program here, I was disappointed by the lack of communication throughout the admissions process. I applied for the Fall 2026 cohort and was told that decision letters would be sent out in May. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive mine until late June/early July, after a long period with very few updates.

Because of the uncertainty and delays, I decided to apply to another nursing program. The process there was much smoother, communication was clear, and I was given an exact start date without the constant uncertainty.

If you’re considering the nursing program here, just be aware that the admissions timeline may not always match what is communicated. Better communication and more consistent updates would make the process much less stressful for prospective students.

The LPN program at Goodwin had both positive and negative aspects. The most positive experience was the relationships formed with classmates, and many of the instructors were genuinely supportive and willing to help students succeed.

However, I was part of the first full-time LPN cohort, and the program was extremely challenging due to ongoing organizational issues. There was a high turnover rate among instructors, frequent last-minute changes, and a general lack of communication. Administrative staff often could not provide clear or accurate answers to important questions. We were explicitly told by the head of the nursing program that we were the “guinea pigs” for the program and that any improvements would benefit future cohorts rather than our own.
Despite these challenges, I successfully completed the program. One of the most concerning issues occurred one week before graduation, when we were informed that all outstanding balances had to be paid in full or placed on a payment plan in order for transcripts to be released. One week after graduation, we were then informed that students were responsible for paying to have their transcripts sent, as the university would not cover this cost. I graduated on December 18, 2025, and I am still unable to schedule my NCLEX. Due to delayed communication from the university, my transcript was sent to the state without my clinical hours included. As a result, I remain unable to test and am currently awaiting clarification from Goodwin regarding why my clinical hours were omitted and how they will be sent.
Given that Goodwin offers multiple nursing programs that follow the same state testing process, it is unclear why the LPN program has faced such significant issues. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage prospective students to consider other options if available.

So far I am having a great experience here! I ESPECIALLY like that when you call , you can actually talk with someone!!!!! Everyone here has been so helpful, registering for clases is so easy , and the advisors are helpful. If you have to send a request for information, they respond fast. This has been the best college experience ive had . Goodwin please keep up the good work!

I hold a bachelors degree from another university so I was interested in getting more information about the ABSN program versus the ASN program. I requested information so many times and finally received 3 duplicate emails from the same admissions counselor of nothing but attachments of FAQ’s, the class list, etc. I replied asking for an appointment and once again have been waiting days even after I sent a follow up email. Do you guys not want students to enroll? I’m asking for information to literally pay you tuition and you guys take 8-9 days to answer an email?

I'm currently enrolled. It's been a wonderful experience up until a class I was taking this semester. The front end individuals have been incredibly helpful and professional. However, there is a professor there who is unprofessional and their conduct needs to be addressed. I've turned to several outlets and nothing has been done. I dropped that individual's class and care less to continue looking for support on this issue. It's a shame some students concerns go ignored. Not s good way to run your school.
