Very good for solace and sunsets. Bad for swimming though - no proper beach, water bed has pebbles and algae like stuff (?), and the water has solid particles (mostly tree barks) floating around. Nevertheless, good place to chill if you are a water person.

Beautiful place for picnics, scenery is great but who ever owns it now doesn't take care of the grounds.I think we counted six picnic tables 2 charcoal grills. Our family has been going there for family picnics for around 70 years ! It's right next to the Connecticut River. Oh I know that the owners supply a porta potty but it was so gross nobody could use it !

Nice boat ramp but beware of poison ivy - read sign at top of hill to educate yourself.
Put in here to do some bass fishing - headed north to Dartmouth College boathouse.
Saw deer and water fowl.

Update: I did finally find the boat ramp from the road. It is behind Quail Hollow retirement community. Not easy to find the first time!
I have been to this boat ramp from the water. I put in at Kilowatt Park across the river. It is a good landing though you have to be careful of obstructions, such as logs. Giving it a 4 because it is tough to find from Route 10. I haven't found it yet from there. Now that I've seen it in Google maps I'm hoping I can locate it.

Great boat ramp with a floating dock. Impressive stone work. Lots of room to fish. Dog friendly. Picnik tables and benches. Bring a bag for your trash.
