This is by far my favorite kayak float. Great smallmouth bass fishing all the way down to the Cornish covered bridge with a stop at Harpoon brewery half way through. No need to paddle, but it will take hours if the wind is headed in the wrong direction. I’ve also caught carp and walleye but smallmouth are everywhere.
Updated with photos from my 2021 summer float. This place is my favorite!

Only 4 stars because I didn't catch any fish this time, and I flipped my kayak over and lost my fishing pole, and my wallet! Otherwise, it's a solid 5!

Such a great hidden gem to go and relax. There are always kayakers and people floating in tubes launching from here, so it's always fun to watch.
Please bring a bag with you to tidy up any loose garbage if you come. There's not a lot here, but every little bit helps to keep this place as good as it can be.
It's fun for exploring the shoreline and all of the various rocks you can find, and with the number of people fishing here, that must be pretty good, too.
