This boat access is most definitely open. It is now accurately pinned on the Maps. There is a large, light blue sign at a gravel and mowed parking area mere feet south of a small bridge

closed to canoes in winter but we had a nice time bushwhacking on cross country skis. Does not support launching motorboats.

Carry in canoeing, kayaks etc. Check CT. river flow rates especially if you have intermediate or novice experience.
