I live about 3 blocks away and use the boat ramp regularly for my kayak in the summer. It is the best landing spot in the area. Kayaking in the area is excellent since the dam to the south discourages motorboats. I have kayaked all the way to the Montshire Museum of Science. You can't land there due to too much sediment in the cove. South of the museum is a group of islands that make a good stop. The largest island has campsites and an outhouse. Kayakers from Dartmouth in Hanover sometimes make their way down to the boat ramp.

The boat ramp could be smoother, since it consists of pre-cast concrete segments with dirt in between. You can twist your ankle in the gaps between the concrete segments if you are not careful. The boat ramp does have a nice dock along one side of it and at the end. The town pulls the dock out of the water in the winter and closes vehicle access to the boat ramp.

Parking is adequate. A porta-potty is there for use and is normally quite clean.

The boat ramp is midway between Kilowatt Park South and North. The south park is the location for the town's 4th of July celebration. It mostly contains athletic fields. The north park is more wooded and has trails. A nice trail connects from the boat ramp to the north park. The whole area is good for hiking in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter.

The driveway and ramp need a little love. There is plenty of parking for cars as well as trailers. There is a single boat launch which can get a bit shallow depending on water level.

There is driveway is full of ruts that bounce the trailer so go slow as it’s also very narrow. One side of the ramp is also completely washed out, so be careful when backing in.

Easily can put in kayaks and paddle boards here as well.

Parking with trash and dog waste bags. Field states “no dogs allowed”. Walking trails that will bring you to wilder dock. Boat and water access.

A lovely spot to launch boats on the Connecticut River. It is right near the Wilder Dam, but you can paddle upstream easily because of low water flow rate caused by the dam. There's also two parks nearby. Kilowatt South, which has a field and dog park (on and off leash) with small beaches and picnic benches. Kilowatt North has trails and also a boat ramp, but it's only accessible from the river. There's also picnic tables there.

Nice easy launch, bumpy road but nothing crazy. Fishing is great.
