French King Bridge is one of the coolest and scenic bridges in all of Massachusetts. It is located right on Route 2 between Erving and Gill. You are able to cross the bridge and park and walk along it. The views from the top of the bridge are really cool. There is a vantage point where you can park and walk to an area under the bridge. From here you can appreciate the beautiful architecture and scenic rivers. I highly recommend visiting in the fall especially as the colors are spectacular. If you are traveling along Route 2, stop by the French King Bridge!

Happened to be driving by and noticed the lamp posts in the bridge, so I pulled over into the lot and got out to take some pictures. Upon doing so I was caught up in the breath taking scenery around the area, on both sides.
One side has a nice walking path and a view of the river. The other side has a beautiful view of the lake and hills, but no walking area.
If you're out and about in the area, with the foliage and everything else right now, absolutely worth a stop

Great view of the Connecticut River from the bridge walkway. There are parking areas at each end of the bridge for safe access.

The walk halfway across was well worth the view

Gorgeous view of the north on the bridge! It is not a spot for selfie though because of the tall fence.

You can only cross the bridge on foot from the north side as the south side has no sidewalk. The parking lots are also on the north side of the road, at both ends of the bridge. A sign says parking is limited to 30 minuets, but it does not seem to be closely monitored.
