We could not recommend this place any more or be more satisfied. Growing up here and now returning as an adult was very pleasantly surprised how the marina was kept up and maintained. It’s even more beautiful now than many years ago . The staff has been extremely friendly and welcoming as well. Had my boat serviced for a problem and they even had me back out on the water in a couple days ! Bathrooms are meticulous and even hear people say ( this is nicer than ours at home lol ) ….. needless to say at this point … but we are big fans of this marina .

I stored my boat at Chester boat basin for the winter and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Communication was excellent and the quality of work performed was superb. The shrink wrap on my boat was well supported and the team from the boat basin was sure to install supports so my bow rail wasn’t damaged. They also installed extra layers of shrink wrap on the cowlings of my outboards to ensure they were protected. On launch day the staff was extremely helpful even assisting me with dock lines and giving me a ride back to my truck. The only disappointment was seeing how nice the grounds look in spring knowing they didn’t have an available slip for this summer.

If your thinking about getting a slip at this marina don't. Where you keep your boat is very important, this place has a very inexperienced marine mechanics. When your boat needs repair and they always due, they will brake parts on your boat when they are trying to fix it, over charge you and take for ever to work on your boat. there mechanics will work on your boat first if you pay them extra on the side without the owner knowing about it. The marina is not family oriented. They treat you as just another wallet to drain not as part of a marina family. There are so many more family friendly marinas on the CT river. You can see by the owners comments below they don't even have a clue what customers they have.

We are first time boat owners. We bought a boat that came with the slip for the remainder of the 2020 season. Being first time bought owners we were unsure of some things and so we sought out some guidance from the marina. Steve gladly offered his time and scheduled a appt. to meet us at our boat and take us through it bow to stern. He even took us out on the water to help us get a feel for our boat. I can't thank Steve enough. He not only helped put our mind at ease about questions we had but helped build our confidence level up. This definately reflected in the learning curve we experienced and helped make our boating experience much more pleasureable much sooner then it likely would have been without his help. Every Marina needs a Steve. Thanks Again

I called the ships store looking for an ignition switch and the girl that answered the phone was so polite and so helpful. She actually went and looked at what they had in stock to try and match something up and didn’t just tell me they didn’t have it. I would highly recommend this place.
