Trump National Golf Club

Golf Club

Trump National Golf Club, formerly known as Lowes Island Country Club, is a private club, home of two championship golf courses created by legendary course designers Tom Fazio and Arthur Hills. The golf courses occupies 465 acres--and more than 2 miles--along the Potomac across from Seneca, Maryland.

In 2010, Donald Trump purchased the Lowes Island Golf Club and immediately renamed it the Trump National Golf Club. The new owner undertook a renovation project that removed several hundred trees along the Potomac shoreline. The Potomac Conservancy, among other organizations, has recommended replanting of trees near the shoreline to create a buffer for pesticides, fertilizer, and stormwater runoff into the Potomac River.
